  Ellie Simpson-Eyre - personal statement

I am thrilled to be applying for the position of the PE teacher at Bulwell Academy. I came across this job on a job search for a PE teacher on the internet and was interested when came across your add on the site. I am available start work straight away.

Experience

·      Primark- I work in a team and l have my own individual tasks and responsibilities to follow and complete so I relate to problem-solving as if a customer needs something or I am asked to do something I need to be on my feet to help and solve the issue.

Rugby festival- During this event l used skills such as communication and problem solving to change or develop any rules to fit the individuals I was coaching. Communication was a key part of this as I had to explain the rules in clear, verbal instructions

School games 2019- In this period, I did the school games as a part of my sports leadership award where I worked in a team, encouraged pupils, and made it a fun day for the children so they don’t get bored while waiting for their activity's.

Bronze duke of Edinburg- While completing my Duke of Edinburgh I had to participate in different team building tasks, so things would run better together if anything happened on our expeditions. While doing the expedition problem-solving was crucial as we needed it to make sure we were going on track or to solve where we went wrong and how to fix it.

·      Brownies- I helped out a brownie guid for experience of teamwork and leadership where I lead groups playing games and helping them receive their badges and help them develop their skills.

Primary school teaching assistant- In this period, I dedicated my time to go to my local primary school and helped be an assistant teacher which involved helping some children who needed it by sitting next to them in class helping them understand and getting knowledge of the lesson and working as a team with the teachers to engage the pupils and make it fun and creative.

Dance after school- Dance has been a passion of mine since I was young, and this helped me to be creative and gave me a chance to work in a team even though I was leading I had help from the pupils figuring out what they think might work and what they like to do so when I couldn’t think of a dance move to go in the routine I let them freestyle and see what they like to do there was also problem-solving involved such as if they couldn’t do a move change it so they could all figured things out to make it all fit in place.

I think I would be a good candidate for this position as I am an enthusiastic person that can be relied upon given any task and to complete with always 110% effort input. I think I would fit into this position nicely as I am a hard worker, and I can successfully work in a team or individually.

I agree and aspire the core values of your school as respect is a massive thing to have towards anybody, resilience, creativity, ambition, and kindness are all things I am willing to bring into this role and help encourage these core values together.

I hope there will be an opportunity for me to join and contribute towards your School and the values around it.

I look forward to hear from you.

Your sincerely

Ellie Simpson - Eyre

  1. I like how your CV and cover letter provides a lot of detail specifically towards your own previous experience. I can also see that you have tried to relate back to the job description as much as you can. I suggest you work on how you structure your work here maybe split this across two blog posts such as:

    Task 3: Part 1 - CV
    Task 3: Part 2 - Cover Letter

Additionally make it so your fonts, text size is consistent throughout as this blog post seems to be a bit all over the place Ellie. A great effort though well done!
